2002 Support

Born in Mongolia, 1969. Graduated from the National University of Mongolia in 1994 with a MA in Mongolian Studies. Currently works as a curator at the Fine Arts Museum of Zanabazar. Came to Japan in July, 2002, under the Youth Exchange Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After receiving a Japanese language training, she began her residency at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in order to research museum curatorial and exhibition methodology.

Exchange Activities

Received a training on museum management during her 5 months stay. She was also active in introducing art from her native country by presenting a gallery talk at the ongoing exhibition, "Modern Paintings of Mongolia" and a lecture on Mongolian Art.

Visited Fukuoka Prefectural Museum of Art and Fukuoka Art Museum.
October 19
Accompanied FAAM volunteer's study tour to Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto.
October 23
Enrolled in the Japanese language lesson given by "Chisana Kokusai Koryu No Kai (A Small Exchange Group)."
October 26
Presented a gallery talk at the ongoing exhibition, "Modern Paintings of Mongolia" (31 people attended).
November 29 - December 2
Visited the Miyakonojo City Museum of Art where the exhibition, "Modern Paintings of Mongolia," was being held.
December 3 December 24
Visited Fukuoka Prefectural Museum of Art to see a solo exhibition of Imaizumi Kenji. Interviewed Ms. Kurisu (Section Chief, Administration Office, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum) about the museum management.
January 7
Visited Professor Ushiroshoji Masahiro at Kyushu University. After this meeting, she started to attend his lecture on Thursdays.
January 15, 16
Visited Oita Art Museum and Beppu Art Museum on her study tour to Oita.
February 22, 23
Presented her lecture series, "Oyunna's Lectures on Mongolian Art."
March 7
Visited Oita Art Museum and Beppu Art Museum on her study Left Fukuoka.
