Fukuoka Asian Art Museum has a variety of facilities that make your stay special including Art Cafe, Museum Shop, and Kid's Corner. These facilities are located in a public area that is open to everyone.

Fukuoka Asian Art Museumʼs Art Cafe introduces approximately
10,000 books on Asia, art, and travel.
Please choose any chair you like and enjoy reading any of them.
Lending and copy services are not available.
If you have any questions regarding the books, please feel free to ask the librarian.

MUSEUM CAFE by IENA COFFEE

  • Hours: 11:00~18:00

The Cafe serves a variety of drinks including our home-roasted blend coffee “Asian Wings,” the rare “Kopi Luwak” brewed with coffee beans produced by Civets, Chinese flower tea and juice made on site using local Kyushu ingredients, as well as home-made sweets and one-plate lunches.

Museum Shop

Museum Shop Longhua

The Museum Shop Longhua welcomes you with original goods from the FAAM collection as well as various, various publications, products of top Japanese artists, works of national and international design studios and local artists, and more. We select unique products to match your interest in art, design, and Asia. Please stop by when you visit the museum.

Kid's Corner

Kid's Corner

  • Hours: 9:30~19:30 (until 20:00 on Fri and Sat) * Please be advised to use the space under the parents’ guidance.

Children can have a relaxed time enjoying Asian picture books and woodblocks in our cozy Kid’s Corner. This space was produced by Vietnamese artist Tiffany Chung. Her work is characterized by its pop colors and unique shapes. She developed the spaces furniture, including its sofas and tables, as well as its shelves, toys, and objects attached to the near by poles. These products were manufactured in Vietnam and the United States.
There are occasional events like picture book readings and kamishibai picture-story shows by museum volunteers in the Kid’s Corner. Please for the details in the Event Page.

  • 10:00 - 16:30 on Weekdays (Except for the museum’s closing days)

Specializing in Asian modern and contemporary art, our library holds a large number of collections, which makes it one of the best among others in Japan.
Approximately 50,000 books are stored in the closed shelves.
You can request and read the materials in the room.
We do not provide loans or photocopying services.
