Activities during the residency
Sameer Tawde’s robot-like works draw on themes including mythos and science fiction. In Fukuoka, he created a series of photographs that draws on local history and culture by comparing Yame’s traditional toro-ningyo-doll and Mumbai’s kinetic doll culture. He also held a workshop in creating animation frames.
