Activities during the residency
Kim Jimin created two large, two-dimensional artworks during his residency: Fan 3.6, and Oxymoron. Spanning 3.6 metres in diameter, the large-scale work Fan 3.6 was exhibited suspended from the entrance to Kawabata Shotengai Arcade. In addition, he also photographed hundreds of digital images of the gate, storage building and precinct of Miyajidake Shrine in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. From these he created the stop-motion animation work, Fan.
