Aung Myant Htay
Activities during the residency
During his residency, artist Aung Myant Htay created a performance piece and the installations Story I –Lantern and Story II – The Life of Buddha, symbolizing the life of Buddha and our own inner worlds. He also created a large-scale ground image for the Hakata Riverain Lantern Festival, using thousands of lanterns. Aung staged two performances of his work Homesick versus Sick Home, once at Ajibi Hall and again at Reisen Park in Fukuoka.
