HSIEH Yu-Cheng is a Taiwanese artist whose work explores light, space, and the mechanisms of images that define ways of seeing. Through fluorescent spatial installations, he reconstructs perceptual illusions to examine boundaries, their interpretations, and inherent contradictions.
During the residency in Fukuoka, he will develop his past works by blending electronic materials with ikebana, exploring the relationship between energy, control, and balance. Through these views, he aims to translate electricity and nature into visual experience while engaging in a dialogue with history and modernity.
