Indian female artist Anindita Dutta has stayed in Fukuoka from June to participate in Artist in Residence Program of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM) and engaged in art exchange programs such as art-making and workshops. By using clay, she produced large-scale performances together with students of Fine Arts Department of Kyushu Sangyo University.  The documented performances came to photograph and video works.  In her workshop with elementary and junior high school students, Indian kites and crowns of a king were produced.  This exhibition shows the works completed during her stay in Fukuoka.

In the sweltering heat, performances took place at the outdoor stage of Kyushu Sangyo University. The floor and wall of the stage were completely covered with brown clay and their surface was rough like tussock. In the center, a man and a woman who were fully covered with clay arm-wrestled in silence. But it seems that the winner is not clear.
