Residency Exhibition

Since opening in 1999, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM) has invited artists from Asia every year to join the Artist in Residence Program, enabling artistic exchange between them and the local citizens through art-making and other activities during their residency.

This year, Kwon Ryeowon (Korea) was invited to participate in the Exchange Residence Program in January, partnered with the Gwangju Museum of Art, Korea. Seah Zelin (Malaysia) and Jeremy Hiah (Singapore), the Winners of the UOB Painting of the Year organized by the United Overseas Bank were invited to join the Support Program in February.

The exhibition will showcase the works of the three artists created in their residency through explorations in Fukuoka. We look forward to welcoming you all.
