Alwin Reamillo

Alwin was a participant in the 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (FT3) exchange program, and began work on his artwork during a residency that began before FT3 opened. Created together with local youth, his work FUKUO(KAR) Whale Project consisted of a whale-shaped car made using a modified tractor. Three days before the opening of FT3, Alwin paid a surprise visit to the pupils of Kego Elementary School, touring the whale-car around the school playground.

August 12 – Live talk at the event ‘Enjoying Fukuoka Triennale 10 Times More’.

September 15 – Live demonstration of the whale-car for 181 Year 1 and 2 pupils at Kego Elementary School.
