Overview

A participant in the 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (FT3), Tiarma began her residency three months before the event opening. One of her first works was a performance held on the first floor of Fukuoka City Hall, involving four mannequins clad in pink and the artist herself together with four young attendants, also dressed in pink. Tiarma also held a workshop in which participants crafted items of clothing. At her event ‘After Party’ the following day, she photographed all participants in a Fukuoka café, wearing their creations. During the opening event of the Triennale, Tiarma staged a fashion performance titled ‘Plastic Lab BUTHO: Dark Dance’, featuring members of the Seiryukai Butoh dance group, along with Filipino dancers from the nearby Nakasu club nightclub district.
