The exhibition looks back at “China/Avant-Garde,” a large-scale exhibition held in 1989 that showcased the achievements of Chinese contemporary art, as well as subsequent activities by Yuan Ming Yuan Artist Village and Beijing East Village, through archival materials, primarily photographs.
