- Venue
Artists' Gallery and Others
Indian Video Art: History in Motion is the second exhibition in the “Crossing Visions” series at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
“Crossing Visions” introduces new trends in contemporary art that spring from transboundary interactions of visual art with other genres such as film, animation, manga, fashion, architecture, design and other forms of visual expression.
The show features artists from India who primarily worked on paintings or sculptures and now delve into video art as a new form of media, an extended realm of their respective creations with growing potential. Curated by Mr. Johan Pijnappel, the Dutch curator based in India, it became a development of the previous exhibit ‘SELF: Contemporary Indian Video Art’ held in Brisbane, Australia in 2002.
