Fukuoka Asian Art Museum continues to be committed to its Artist in Residence program that invites artists and researchers from Asian countries since it opened in 1999. So far 156 people have stayed in Fukuoka to create artwork and conduct research over the past 22 years.
In the Room for FAAM Residence Program, we feature four artists who exhibited their works at temples and shrines in Fukuoka. They created artworks or conducted research with the theme of the history and culture of the temples and shrines during their stay in Fukuoka.
