This exhibition compiles artworks from throughout Asia that feature insects. From cool insects to cute and even unpopular ones, such as flies and cockroaches, this show may change your attitude towards insects. But first, let’s explore some of the different insects you might encounter.

Sumi Takamasa (Japan) "Armored Cross Mantis," 2002-03
This artwork is modeled after the Orchid Mantis, which has the appearance of a flower. With its red eyes and forefeet on either side like a human, it could be a character from a special effects TV program. But don't get too mesmerized by its beauty -you might get caught by its sickle-like pincers!
