First Session: Film Screening (How I Long for October) + Artist Talk by Thao Nguyen Phan
For this event, we invite Thao Nguyen Phan, one of the participating artists for this exhibition, whose works have drawn international attention as they reconsider Vietnamese history through her unique narrative representation. In the first part, we take time to see a masterpiece of Vietnamese film, How I Long for October, which became an inspiration to the artist’s work, Mute Grain, on view at the exhibition. We hope to learn more about the work and previous achievements of the artist in the second part.
