Blaze Carved in Darkness: Woodcut Movements in Asia 1930s-2010s
■Period:23 November, 2018 - 20 January, 2019
■Venue:Exhibition Gallery

Since the 1930s to recent years, woodcut prints have been used as a means to deliver political messages of anti-colonialism, democratization, and labor movements. They have also been used to awake people's awareness and to motivate the self-expression of the mass. With a large selection of woodcut and linocut prints, mass-printed materials and relating documentations, this exhibition seeks to articulate the spirit of resistance that forms an essential part of Asia's contemporary history.
