The Place where “The Fawn” Lives - Fork Arts and Asian Art
■Period:03 October, 2013 - 25 December, 2013
■Venue:Asian Gallery A
“Fawn” is FAAM’s adorable mascot. Its creator, Jamini Roy, studied western art formally and subsequently rediscovered Bengali folk art, before carving out his own original style. Apart from Indian art, this exhibition of about 15 works by artists who have rediscovered the inherent manifestations of Asian art also features the art of Lu Shengzhong, who has researched Chinese cutout paper art in depth.
