Dhali Al Mamoon (Bangladesh) "While They Make Speeches" 1988
How fascinating to stretch wings and fly into the sky for freedom is!

Our human being have been wishing to fly both physically and mentally, since the dawn of time and this desire has led us create many myths in motif of angels, holy animals with wings and invent flying machines such as an aero-plane or balloon.

This exhibition compiles some 30 Asian works from different periods depicting flight, including a man astride a rocket heading out to space, the mystical god Pancsiriya, worshipped by Indian’s Warli tribes, and more.
