Having dual identities as a Vietnamese and American, she transcends the boundaries between the two as well as between art and design. “Sponge City” consists of the bright coloured vending cart, candies, flower garden, kitchen utensils and photographs. |

In her paintings, human figures are integrated into forest and woods, clouds pass through the figures, fish reside, trees grow and flowers bloom in the figures. The surreal and quiet world of her painting is disconnected from the reality in Hanoi where the artist resides. The landscape is rather from the mountains she was born and brought up. |
