| There is an archipelago called Riau in southern Singapore in Indonesian territory. The region once prospered with Bintan Island as the centre. However, the history and people are forgotten now and the descendants are living in very poor conditions. Zai began his project to revive the traditional dance in the region which is now dying. The work is a documentary of his encounters with the people. |

Ho Tzu Nyen

| The name of Singapore originally means ‘the port of lion’ in local language. The person who named the place or the discoverer of the lion is said to be Utama, a Malay king in 12-13th century. Ho Tzu Nyen uses painting, photograph and video to tell the story of Singapore and the legendary king, Utama. |
