Rashid Rana
Born in Lahore, 1968
Lives and works in Lahore
In Lahore where the tradition of miniature painting thrives, he creates digitally treated photograph and video. In “Ten Differences”, the scenery on both sides looks identical, like a mirror image at a glance. However, differences are hidden in these almost symmetrical pictures.

Two girls are dancing on the both sides of a wall - one is Indian and the other is Pakistani. They dance frenetically in their own room to high volume music from their own countries. When one girl turns up the volume, the other makes it louder. The sense of rivalry between the two girls accelerates endlessly.
Masooma Syed
Born in Hyderabad, 1971
Lives and works in Lahore
She used to paint miniature painting, but in recent years she has turned to making delicate but grotesque jewellery using nails and hair that she collects from her friends.
